ATS has established housing assistance for its students who stay at the dormitory while pursuing classes. ATS will take care of reserving a room at our dormitory facility for the entire time that you are attending school and undergoing training at ATS.

ATS is only five miles from the dormitory, which adds to the convenience. You can easily walk to grocery stores, restaurants, and other community assets from the dormitory. The dorm has 62 rooms that are equipped with WiFi, laundry facilities, air conditioning, cable TV, and air conditioning.

These are comfortable rooms that are in a convenient location, so you can easily access everything that you need to while you are getting your training. The rooms are designed to provide you with the comfort of home. The Inn is located so that you can easily find activities to enjoy when you aren’t at school.

Veterans

For our valued students who have served in the military, as a thank you for your sacrifice for our safety, we offer further accommodation assistance with every course. This takes the form of a housing voucher that covers the complete cost of your stay at the ATS dormitory in a double occupancy room for the entire duration of your course. This applies to all veterans who have been honorably discharged from the military and submit their Form DD214 to the school registrar, and we hope this goes a little way in expressing our gratitude to those veterans.

The dormitory will be contacted when you sign up for classes, and a room will automatically be reserved for you. You don’t have to figure out the best place to stay because we already did. All you need to do is learn how to do the job you want to apply for when you graduate.

Once you enroll in your studies, we reserve a room at the school’s dormitory for the full length of your training. It’s an easy walk to restaurants and grocery stores, and it’s about four miles from Associated Training Services (ATS). There are 62 rooms at the Inn and you will meet other ATS students there, at different points in their training since our classes start every three weeks.

We have found that this solution to the problem of housing has been part of what our graduates appreciated during their stay. Friendships were formed when groups went out to eat together after class, and studies were enhanced by not worrying about extra hotel bills and a place in the room to read, and it will be that way for you too. It’s nice to be able to kick back and relax instead of driving back and forth from a distant hotel you found on the internet and regret.

We have been in the business long enough to know that it’s a good idea to stay near your classes while you go through the program. Here’s why:

1. You will be learning a lot of new information and it will take some time, possibly even some evening re-reading of the material, to get it firmly in your head. Staying nearby in a comfortable, safe room gives you the downtime you need to process your classes and get ready for the next day.
2. Many of our students come from other parts of the country and will need a place to stay in any case. Even the students who live close by find that it helps to stay at school instead of commuting. Why spend all that money on gas and a random motel room?
3. We have established housing with the Water Tower Residence Inn, just a few miles from the school. It is a short walk to restaurants, stores, and local attractions. The rooms have cable TV, air conditioning, and small refrigerators for your favorite snacks. There’s also access to laundry facilities and a game room/social area where you can connect with fellow students. 

Because we believe available housing will help you get the most out of training, we make housing assistance part of the financial aid we offer. We will reserve a room for you at the Water Tower Residence Inn for the length of your training. There are a lot of factors to consider when undertaking training for a new career. There’s the matter of funding to pay for your training, the loss of income while attending training, and for some students, finding accommodation as well. This is a very comfortable establishment that is only four miles from the training school and within easy walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping centers. We even offer financial assistance to help cover the costs of your accommodation.

With your accommodation taken care of, you can start to concentrate on the more important issues – studying to become a heavy equipment operator – and we’ll be there with you.

Many find that distance a problem. Naturally, traveling for an hour or two each day to attend training is not ideal and certainly not conducive to good learning – particularly when heavy equipment requires alert operators.

Having friends or relatives that live close to ATS heavy equipment operator school could be ideal – so long as they don’t mind you crashing in on them for a month or two. Of course that option may be seen as a bit of an imposition as well.

That leaves one final alternative to traveling – grabbing a hotel room for a couple of months. Mind you, that could turn out to be a little expensive as well. Hotels are great for vacations but to actually live in one is not my ideal.

ATS may just have one extra solution for you. We may be able to offer living accommodation for the period of your enrollment that should take the hassle of travel right out of the equation. it’s simply a matter of contacting us to find your best option.
