Truck Driving School

A Foundation Of Quality, Integrity, And Pride

Robert Klabacka, in 1963, had a vision and followed it. He founded the Diesel Truck Driver Training School in 1963 near Madison, Wisconsin.

In 1996, Associated Training Services was born out of the same values that inspired the truck driving school. Those values are Quality, Integrity, and Pride.

This is not just some empty phrase or a string of words thrown together. Robert believed in them and so do we.

For years, the Klabacka family has been committed to providing quality truck driving and heavy equipment training for individuals wishing to seek a career in the backbone services of the country. There isn’t a thing all across America that hasn’t been touched by a truck driver or heavy equipment operator. Roads, bridges, stores, high rises, virtually every bit of infrastructure in the land at some point had to be transported or moved by an industry worker. Our job is to train them for their careers, and we do that well.

It takes integrity to maintain a business like ours. We believe in treating people right. If we help others succeed, then we’ll succeed. We believe it and we live it.

On these two pillars stands the element of pride. We don’t just have family pride. We also have professional pride. We believe in the power of people at a fundamental level. We believe that if you give people the tools to succeed, then they’ll outpace your expectations. Our students have proven it time and time again.

When you enroll in ATS, you aren’t just starting a career. You’re also joining a family. And that’s something to be proud of.

Heavy Equipment Job Listings: October 6, 2012

Finding your first job after completing training can be difficult. We often list job vacancies here on Saturdays for heavy equipment operators, crane operators, and truck drivers. These job listings are not just for current students or recent graduates either. Some operators and drivers quickly develop reputations for being good at their job – employers often seek them out hoping to recruit them.

We list a lot of jobs through our dedicated job site, and at times we host employers at our training school. These are generally larger employers who have an ongoing need for new operators or drivers. This week we feature truck driving jobs, in particular two large employers who are visiting us as part of a recruitment drive.

A Commercial Drivers License Provides Year Round Employment Opportunities

There is one thing you can almost guarantee around the nation – there is a truck delivering its load somewhere. If there is a truck then there is also a driver and the only only way to get into the driver’s seat is by obtaining a commercial drivers license. No license – no work – it is as simple as that.

Our nation relies on the transportation of goods and much of that is done using trucks. There are the huge interstate truck trailer combos plying the highways right down to the small trucks making home deliveries around town. Almost all of them require a driver with a commercial drivers license. The easiest way to obtain a commercial drivers license is by undertaking a truck driver training course through a reputable truck driver training school.

ATS Heavy Equipment Operator Schools has been around for a quarter of a century. We started by training people to become truck drivers and we are now one of the most reputable truck driver training schools in the nation. We don’t just teach people how to drive a truck. We teach people the skills required to gain their commercial drivers license. That license is then your license to gaining sustainable employment.

Truck drivers are always in demand. Even during the recession, people still required goods and those goods had to be delivered to the stores somehow. Truck driving is not only a job that is always in demand, it is the kind of job that pays reasonably well and has a high job satisfaction level.

Classroom truck driver training includes Department of Transportation rules, safety and safe operation of equipment, Commercial Driver License regulations, logbooks, and hazardous materials. The practical component includes backing and other close quarter maneuvers as well as pre-trip inspections, coupling and uncoupling, and actual highway and city driving.
